When you would like to bike along Virginia Canyon Road heading north out of Idaho Springs, CO towards Central City and Black Hawk, don’t park in town and pay $2 an hour. Pay as little as $5 a day and a maximum of $10/day for a private spot right where the dirt road starts!
Nearly any car will make it easily to this parking spot (as long as your car is not lowered to the ground excessively). 4WD or AWD is not necessary unless there is excessive snow. The road is plowed in the winter by Clear Creek County. The spot is a dirt/rock surface and is uncovered. The spot receives full sunlight from the south from 8/9am to 3/4pm depending on the season. It is located at the intersection of Virginia Canyon Rd. and Two Brothers Rd.
This spot will be surrounded by Virginia Canyon Mountain Park and its bike/hike trails once it is completed! Park here and roll downhill and to the east (left on Virginia St.) to the Argo gondola and end your run right at colorado.bike property and your private parking spot!
Your day purchase entitles you to park from 12am (midnight) to 11:59pm the same day. You must pay for the next day here on our website when parking overnight. No attendant is available to assist you in person except in the case of an emergency. Always dial 911 if you are in danger. colorado.bike is not responsible for vehicles becoming stuck on or off of our property. If you should need towing from the spot, contact our neighbors at Allied Towing (303-567-4262), located in downtown Idaho Springs only 1 mile away.
The spot is monitored by a webcam 24/7/365 and will be marked as available online once a car is removed. You can book up to 6 months in advance for as many days in a row as you would like! If you have booked the spot and it is occupied when you arrive, please email us 24/7 at alex@colorado.bike and we will have the unauthorized car towed immediately.
