Many of us got our start on bicycles as kids rolling around the driveway or street in front of our house. Sometimes, rudimentary ramps were built by brothers or sisters. These early experiences lead many cyclists to park and urban freeride styles. Combining urban elements with great views, Colorado has fun right around the corner for you and your bike crew.
Dirt jump parks and urban freeride are a fun way to spend time in the cities of Colorado. Please respect private property and do not ride where it is not allowed.

Urban
Here at colorado.bike, we love the practice riding down stairs gives us for downhill mountainbiking. Fly down them fast enough and it’s not that rough! Please wear proper safety gear and be mindful of pedestrians, who always have the right-of-way over vehicles (bicycles or cars).
I’m also a big fan of drops, where you start off on higher ground than where you land. If you happen to find ledges or gaps to drop, make sure your seat is lowered and your tires are properly inflated. Also, check your chain tension to make sure your chain doesn’t fly off when you impact the ground! Try to land flat on both wheels at the same time or rear tire first.
In Sum
Denver, Colorado Springs, Boulder, Ft. Collins, and many other towns have great urban scapes to ride. Please respect private property and leave immediately if asked to vacate private property. College campuses are generally great for bicycling. Watch out for pedestrians and don’t forget your helmet! colorado.bike cannot be held responsible for any consequences encountered where you choose to ride.
